These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Oil Collector website and our used cooking oil collection services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • "Oil Collector", "we", "our", or "us" refers to Oil Collector.
  • "Customer", "you", or "your" refers to the business or individual using our services.
  • "Used Cooking Oil" (UCO) means waste vegetable oil from food preparation.
  • "Services" means our used cooking oil collection and related services.

3. Our Services

Oil Collector provides:

  • Free collection of used cooking oil from commercial premises
  • Supply of containers for oil storage
  • Payment of rebates for collected oil (where applicable)
  • Documentation for waste transfer compliance

4. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Ensure all oil provided is used cooking oil from food preparation only
  • Not contaminate the oil with water, food debris, or other substances
  • Not mix cooking oil with motor oil, lubricants, or hazardous materials
  • Provide safe access to collection points for our drivers
  • Store containers in accordance with our guidelines
  • Notify us of any changes to your collection requirements

5. Oil Quality

We reserve the right to reject or reduce payment for oil that is contaminated, mixed with other substances, or does not meet our quality standards. Severe contamination may result in additional charges for disposal.

6. Collection Schedule

Collection schedules are agreed upon signup and may be adjusted based on your needs. We will make reasonable efforts to collect on scheduled dates but cannot guarantee specific times. Emergency collections may be arranged subject to availability.

7. Payment Terms

Rebates for collected oil are paid according to the agreed schedule and rates. Rates may vary based on market conditions, oil quality, and volume. We reserve the right to adjust rates with reasonable notice.

8. Containers

Containers supplied by Oil Collector remain our property. You are responsible for reasonable care of containers while on your premises. Lost, stolen, or damaged containers may be charged to your account.

9. Compliance

Our services comply with UK environmental regulations including the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011. We are a registered waste carrier and provide appropriate documentation for your records.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oil Collector shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement with 30 days' written notice. Upon termination, all containers must be returned in reasonable condition. Outstanding payments will be settled within 30 days.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the Oil Collector website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is our property and protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

13. Website Use

You agree not to use our website for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or to interfere with the proper functioning of the website.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
